By downloading, installing, or using the Camp Swap mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use Camp Swap. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Camp Swap.
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use Camp Swap. By using the Platform, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and truthful. Camp Swap reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that do not meet eligibility requirements.
Camp Swap supports two types of users:
By selecting a role during registration, you agree to the responsibilities and restrictions associated with that role.
4.1 Vendors may list campsites they have legitimately reserved but are unable to attend. By listing a campsite, you confirm that you hold a valid reservation for the dates and location described.
4.2 Camp Swap does not own, operate, or manage any campsite. We are a marketplace that facilitates peer-to-peer transactions between campers.
4.3 It is the vendor’s sole responsibility to ensure that the resale of their reservation is permitted by the campground operator or relevant governing body. Camp Swap is not liable for any booking violations, cancellations, or disputes with campground operators.
4.4 Camp Swap reserves the right to remove any listing that is inaccurate, fraudulent, prohibited, or in violation of these Terms.
5.1 Vendors may list new or used camping gear and equipment for sale. All listings must accurately describe the item’s condition, features, and price.
5.2 Camp Swap does not inspect, verify, or guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any item listed on the Platform.
5.3 Customers purchase gear at their own risk. We encourage buyers to review listings carefully, communicate with vendors via in-app messaging, and raise any concerns before completing a purchase.
6.1 All payments on Camp Swap are processed securely through Stripe. By making or receiving payments, you agree to Stripe’s Terms of Service.
6.2 Camp Swap charges a service fee on every completed transaction:
6.3 All applicable fees are disclosed to users before a transaction is confirmed. Camp Swap does not store full payment card details.
6.4 Payments are transferred to vendors after the service fee is deducted, subject to Stripe’s payout schedule.
Vendors may pay to boost their campsite or gear listings for increased visibility within the Platform. Boost fees are non-refundable once applied. Camp Swap does not guarantee any specific increase in views, inquiries, or sales as a result of a paid boost.
Camp Swap offers a premium subscription that provides the following benefits:
Premium subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) and will auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. Subscriptions can be managed and cancelled through your device’s app store account settings.
The free tier of Camp Swap includes in-app advertisements served by third-party ad networks. By using the free tier, you consent to the display of these ads. Ads can be removed by upgrading to a Camp Swap Premium subscription.
Camp Swap provides in-app messaging to facilitate communication between vendors and customers. You agree to use messaging for legitimate transaction-related purposes only. You must not use messaging to:
Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination.
The Camp Swap community feed allows both vendors and customers to post updates, share camping experiences, follow other users, and engage through likes and comments. By posting content, you grant Camp Swap a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote that content within the Platform.
You agree not to post content that:
Camp Swap reserves the right to remove any content and suspend users who violate these community standards.

All content, software, trademarks, logos, and design elements on the Camp Swap Platform are owned by or licensed to Camp Swap. These Terms do not grant you any right to use Camp Swap’s intellectual property beyond what is strictly necessary to use the Platform as intended. User-generated content (listings, posts, photos) remains the property of the user who created it, subject to the license granted in Section 11.
Camp Swap is a marketplace platform only. We do not own, control, or operate any campsite, and we do not manufacture or inspect any gear sold on the Platform. The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or that listings will meet your expectations.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Camp Swap shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of data, failed transactions, or campsite booking disputes. Our maximum aggregate liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the total service fees you paid to Camp Swap in the three months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Camp Swap, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
Camp Swap may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for breach of these Terms or any conduct we determine to be harmful to the Platform or its users. Upon termination, your right to access the Platform ceases immediately. Sections 13, 14, 15, and 16 survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration proceeding.
Camp Swap reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document and, where appropriate, by in-app notification. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
